Inspiration

The inspiration for our magnificent Ottoman collection comes from deep in the heart of the Middle East and Central Asia. Our fabric designers have drawn from the abundance of rich kilim textiles found in this part of the world, to create traditional designs woven into heavyweight chenilles, that simulate the fine qualities of the carpets and prayer rugs that have their origins in these countries. The rich colours that embellish these fabrics are synonymous with the bold hues that saturate textiles, interiors, clothes and streets of the Middle East and Central Asia. These fabrics are designed to bring colour and flair into a room, whether used for upholstery, creating striking pieces of furniture or used to create statement curtains.

Manufacture

Our Persian fabric collection is woven in an undiscovered fabric mill based in Turkey that we have worked with for a number of years. They weave our Persian fabric collection on their jacquard looms using excellent quality yarns to create a flawless finish.

Colour Variation

You cannot avoid colour variations between production batches. Brockhall Designs cannot guarantee that current production batches will match previous orders or original samples batches. Where colour match is essential, please request a fabric cutting.

Linen

Natural Linen can have occasional ‘slubs’ in the weave this is a natural characteristic of the fibre which can occur within the fabric

Upholstery Fabric

The cloth which are suitable for upholstery use can be found in "fabrics" on the Brockhall Designs website. Refer to the fabric description for the ‘rub test’ for each fabric.

Washing

Please see the particular fabric for care instructions, not all the fabrics are washable. Most furnishing fabrics are not suited to regular washing and cleaning which can diminish both the handle and finish of the cloth.

If you are making loose covers or unlined curtains which you intend to wash and from a washable fabric, we advise you to pre-wash the fabric before you make up. When washing Brockhall Designs fabrics, use a powder/liquid that has no bleach or optical whiteners, wash at 30°c and do not tumble dry.

Loose Covers

Must use a cool wash no more than 30 30 degrees, with only a short spin. Do not tumble dry and shake out thoroughly. Dry as flat as possible. Once dried slightly ease the covers back onto the furniture when still a little damp as this will force them to stretch back into the correct shape.

Note: Due to variations in computer screens, we cannot guarantee that the colours shown here are truly representative of our products.
Prior to purchasing we recommend that you order a sample, available online or through your local supplier.
