Our Venice velvet collection is inspired by the soft hues of the Venetian city and canals; the iridescent waters, changing from muted greys to cool blues with glows of tinted greens, running between the neutral tones of the ancient buildings. This fabric collection is full of natural and calming colours that portray the unspoilt, historic way of life in the city. In contrast, our Naples fabric collection draws the intense and rich colours of the vibrant Amalfi coast and the bold buildings that line it. This collection, like the Neapolitan ambience, is full of colour and flair and would adorn any room with a bright and playful feel.
Our velvet fabric collection is woven in a major Spanish fabric mill that has an extensive portfolio of work. They weave our velvet fabrics to the highest quality and ensure they are incredibly durable, one of the most durable fabrics we have, making them ideal for upholstery.
You cannot avoid colour variations between production batches. Brockhall Designs cannot guarantee that current production batches will match previous orders or original samples batches. Where colour match is essential, please request a fabric cutting.
Natural Linen can have occasional ‘slubs’ in the weave this is a natural characteristic of the fibre which can occur within the fabric
The cloth which are suitable for upholstery use can be found in "fabrics" on the Brockhall Designs website. Refer to the fabric description for the ‘rub test’ for each fabric.
Please see the particular fabric for care instructions, not all the fabrics are washable. Most furnishing fabrics are not suited to regular washing and cleaning which can diminish both the handle and finish of the cloth.
If you are making loose covers or unlined curtains which you intend to wash and from a washable fabric, we advise you to pre-wash the fabric before you make up. When washing Brockhall Designs fabrics, use a powder/liquid that has no bleach or optical whiteners, wash at 30°c and do not tumble dry.
Must use a cool wash no more than 30 30 degrees, with only a short spin. Do not tumble dry and shake out thoroughly. Dry as flat as possible. Once dried slightly ease the covers back onto the furniture when still a little damp as this will force them to stretch back into the correct shape.
